fingers crossedBushranger is a lovely little trawler who happens to be wandering around the US Great Loop. She’s a crusty old lady, a bit cranky at times, but willing to ‘give it a go’ and shelter us as we wander from the shores of the Gulf of Mexico, to the dunes of Michigan (and all places in between). Although she is currently an intrepid explorer, she did not start out that way…if you glance back into her archives you will discover the chronology of what it took to get this old boat back into her current ‘fighting-fit’ shape…I hope you enjoy the ride…

OH MY GOODNESS….We looked at this boat and seriously discussed buying it. You have surely worked hard on a boat that looked very nice and well kept. Just goes to show a really good survey and study does not always keep you out of trouble. Good luck on all your work and adventures. At least Pickwick is a beautiful spot to work on a boat.

Pickwick is lovely, and the people here are wonderful. Interesting that you were looking at Quixote before we changed her name to Bushranger. Did you end up buying another boat?

I just found your blog on the American Great Loop website. My husband and I have the exact boat and will be leaving in August from Lake Superior on the Loop. I’m so excited to read back in your blog to see the changes you’ve made. Our plans are to lauch as soon as the ice is out and start getting her ready. I can’t wait.
