Illinois River Part 4

4 Aug

Remember how a while back Bushranger transited the TOP of the Great Loop?

Well, today she skimmed along the most western part of that loop.

We were still playing ‘dodge-the-tree-trunks’ around the river bends…

…but the scenery was gorgeous – it reminded me of the Tennessee River, with its hills, cliffs and big trees.

And I even finally caught a jumping Asian Carp on film (although it was only one fish that jumped – but that’s better than NO fish, isn’t it?!?).

Bushranger is currently sitting at the Grafton Marina, and her view is momentous!

What you’re looking at is the Mighty Mississippi River – which will be our next adventure!

I’ve loved your travel updates. I do want to be at Pickwick when you make your return. ETA??? We are still in MI. It is rather warm! Lenoir

Hi Lenoir! I think we’ll be back on the 18th or 19th of Aug! Of course the weather gods will try to mess with that date, but that’s our best guess. We’d LOVE to see you guys!
