Killarney to Little Current

29 Jun

Alright, I’ll admit it – I really loved Killarney. Not because of the scenery – although it was as lush and green as the rest of the Georgian Bay. Not because of the shopping – which was pretty much nonexistent (no shoe stores in sight!?!). Not because of the fine dining – I ended up settling for a burger and fries for dinner last night. Nope, I loved Killarney because of the open and friendly welcome we received from everyone. Everywhere I walked I was greeted with a smile and a heartfelt greeting. The lads and lass who worked at the marina were top-notch professionals and were an absolute joy. Thank you Killarney.
…but we DID leave, and the Bay received us without a whisper of complaint…

We decided that we needed to explore Baie Fine. The publications list it as ‘the closest thing a fjord you will ever cruise in.’ It was a little bit of a side trip, but certainly worth the time…

After our explorations we continued on to Little Current.

Bushranger is currently sitting at the Little Current town dock (which is nicer than many marinas we’ve visited). The dock (which is clean, powered, very well-built) is one block from the town’s main street. The water is so clean you can see all the way to the bottom, which is about 20 feet down.

… and with that summary, I think I’ll sign off for now.

P.S. Little Current – t/7, s/6
