Halifax Harbor at Daytona Beach

16 Jun

Sorry about my tardy blog entries but I’ve been up in New Jersey visiting family.  I know, you’re scratching your head ’cause you noticed that Bushranger has been on the move up the Florida coast (I’m sure you’re ALL checking Bushranger’s Spot Map to keep up with her travels, aren’t you?…). Well, Boyd has enlisted some auxiliary crew to run the lines and man the flybridge and shiver the timbers (and whatever else we crew-folk are supposed to do). Two lovely gentlemen (Bill Kelly and his son Sean) volunteered to help Boyd bring Bushranger a bit further north while I was up in New Jersey. They did a beautiful job — and Bushranger is now peacefully bobbing alongside the floating docks at the Halifax Harbor Marina at Daytona Beach (yes, lads, Daytona Beach where the fast cars play — you should SEE the size of the racetrack — unbelievable!).

…but now I’m back! All I can say is that I’m glad the Kelly men weren’t checked out in baking biscotti and bread or I may have been out of a job!

…”hi” Bushranger!  …did ya’ miss me?…

…if we pedal as fast as we can, it will still take us about a week to get to you…fingers crossed that the weather gods and the imp of mechanics all give us the nod.

Keep us filled in — and don’t worry if you’re not pedaling too fast.
