The Heart of Florida – Indiantown

11 May

So, ya’ reckon your boat is feeling a bit under-the-weather.
Maybe she’s tired and uncooperative (say it ain’t so!!). Well, I know just the place for a bit of boat R&R…

Indiantown1

…this marina specializes in giving a boat a place to stay (on terra-firma and far from the howling Florida-coastal weather ) while she gets pampered (you know, a nip there, a tuck here, maybe even have her bottom scraped and painted (oh, how embarrassing!))…

Indiantown2

…there are hundreds of boats stored here…

…and, of course, the standard Floridian…

…note the gator under the trees…

I LOVE it!

You have such a great way of making us feel like we are right there with you, your captain, and of course, Bushranger. Thanks for the wonderful update! Particularly love the last photo!

Thanks! The sun was shining behind a thundercloud as I was wandering around the boats, and I just had to take its picture!

Hey Mrs. Bushranger. You might run into some friends of ours who are heading up to the Chesapeake. Their boat is the Shingabiss and they finished the loop a few years ago, bought another boat and are following their dreams. Their names are Fish and Liz. We are working on the Mitzvah in between the cold and rain. We still have a departure time of August.

Hey Jan! I’ll be able to remember a name like Fish! We’ll keep an eye out for them. By the way, heat index of 104 yesterday here, so that cold and rain doesn’t sound that bad. 😉
