It’s windy here at Naples City Dock.

winds at naples

The weather gurus say the winds will be 10 to 15 knots — feels like a lot more, so Boyd has put out our fender board.

Pretty cool contraption, don’t ya’ reckon? Pushes those posts away from Bushranger’s delicate hull (well, maybe it’s not really that delicate, but you’re talking to the lady that has to fix any ‘dings’ in the teak, so I THINK it’s delicate!…).

Bottom line, though, we’ll be here in Naples a bit longer — who wants to be on the Gulf when the winds are howling?!?

I like the end caps! Where’d you get them? Headed down Delaware Bay to Cape May this morning.

They were actually with the boat when we bought her — although Boyd tells me that he has seen them around in various marine stores. Have fun at the Jersey shore!

Did you invent that Boyd? It’s fantastic! You remind me of Pop – he would made something like that! I guess you buy those big balloon-type things at a nautical shop??? That’s right LynnAnne – you don’t want your teak damaged, you’ve worked long and hard on it all! Hope the wind goes away! Lotsa love, Barbie xoxoxo

Thanks Barbie — we’ve got a sharp eye on those winds. There’s no way we’re going to get tossed around on the water like we did coming in here. (p.s. I love your comparison to Pop!)

Amen to that and besides, what a spectacular place to spend a couple of extra days!
