Bobbing Near Dog Island

Bushranger is serenely at anchor just north of Dog Island.  Why, you ask? Well, spending the night here will help shave about 2 hours off our trip to Steinhatchee (which was, originally, an 11 hour cruise)!…much more civilized, if you ask me!

    Sail with care — you’re approaching Alligator Harbor Aquatic something-or-another. I assume that like Mosquiteo Creek has that name for a reason, Alligator Harbor was named that for a reason, too!

    Just looked again — it is Alligator Harbor Aquatic Preserve. Why would Florida feel a need to preserve Alligators?

    Followed your “breadcrumb” trail on SpotGPS this afternoon. See that you got to Sea Hag well before sunset, but it was still a long day in the Gulf. Rest up!
