Critical Information for Loopers

2 Apr

The longer you live, the more you learn (and probably will forget at the most inopportune time). So, here’s what happened…

We were finalizing Bushranger’s departure from Fairhope, Alabama. We sold the car (goodbye little silver Corolla – you’ve been good to us), restocked the fridge, settled the bill for all the work that was done on Bushranger’s aft end, and were transferring the last bit of supplies onboard, when it HAPPENED! The combination of damp hands and heavy items resulted in catastrophe! It’s hard to even acknowledge but, yes, the 12 pack of beer fell into the bay!

But, Fate was smiling on us. The beer that hit the drink was from Germany, and encased in plastic, so…

— wait for it —

IT FLOATED! Boyd bent down and fished it out; no harm done.

Now, if that’s not critical information for all future Loopers, I don’t know what is!
Lesson learned – drink German beer!

P.S. Boyd just informed me that all beer floats, but I don’t plan to test that theory…

I thought it was root beer floats that were so good! Beer floats don’t sound appealing at all to me.

ohhhh….. yeah…. my beer connoisseur likes to minimize ‘glass’ on Bushranger so we’re into ‘tins’…

Hope floats … And, so does beer..
which gives us hope .. Great writing
and an even ‘sea story’ for all the sailors in the world.
