Biking

7 Sep

While Boyd is messing around in the engine room, I’m messing around with our new (well, actually, we’ve owned it for 3 years but haven’t used it before due to technical difficulties) spiffy-red bike! The Guntersville Marina is at the edge of Signal Point, a beautiful tree-lined spit of land — so I went exploring! This little red bike is amazing! It folds up to fit into a canvas bag (thus, taking up very little room on our little boat) yet it has 7 gears that work as well as my ‘real bike’ in Sydney… and it is very appropriately named — “Loop”!

It’s serendipity!

I’m a bit confused (so what else is new. It appears that Guntersville is along the way to George and Tennessee. That doesn’t match the Great Loop map. Are you touring before beginning the Loop — or are you blazing your own trail, cross country?

This is a test cruise to get the bugs out…and the Tennessee River is just gorgeous.
