Still Goin’ East

6 Sep

This is the Hard Dock Restaurant that sits right at the Decatur Marina

Decatur Alabama was lovely, as was Ditto Landing in Huntsville.  From there it turned magnificent…

…the Tennessee River is truly amazing…

We finally chugged into the Guntersville Marina (in, you guessed it, Guntersville Alabama) and found this…

…stunning, isn’t it…

Even the town is charming, with lovely little shops, and even a GREAT coffee shop (I know, unbelievable!)…so we’ve decided that today and tomorrow are catch-up days.  We’re going to stay here (in our snug covered berth) and take care of the drips of life (like wiring, laundry, shower rails, bike repairs)…

…but, maybe, a quick nap is in order…

Wow! The scenery is stunning! Stay a while longer; Sydney is cold and rainy.

Stunning in this context is an understatement

Hello Boydie & LynnAnne, Yes Guntersville is quaint and lovely. Did you go to the Glover Restaurant? Across the road from the Downtown gym near Florida short Route and perpendicular to Worth Street! And did you know its for sale? It looks nice and is an historic landmark!Yes the Tennessee River looks truly magnificent!! Wonder how deep it is? Boydie do you read your personal messages on FaceBook? I left a couple there! Lotsa love, Barbie. ❤ ❤ xoxoxo

Yep, we walked past the Glover and it was looking a bit sad and neglected. I’m thinking that you should come over here and buy it and bring it back to life (it’s a lovely place). 🙂
