So, how about an update…

We’ve rigged a cover over the front hatch so I can finish varnishing the teak. Boyd keeps saying it ‘looks like a foc’sle awning so we must be going to tropical routine’…I think he keeps saying this so he can have the afternoon off to drink beer (I hope you Navy guys know what this is all about).

The lower helm is now complete (Boyd repaired the engine panel harness and the wires are all ready to connect to the engine… we’ve even rigged a cool horn button (see, Matt, we finally finished what we started when you were here)).

…boy am I glad we’re not in California.  The solvents and paints and even the fuel system cocks  seem to contain something that causes cancer in California….good thing we’re not there, hey?

It’s all looking so magnificent – well done to both of you for the most wonderful effort, which everyone has enjoyed watching. Your galley is lovely – every bit of work is of high professional standards: can’t praise you enough. Look forward to more photos – and steer clear of California J

With love, Rob and Howie xxx
