Exhaust

9 Apr

The word for today is ‘exhaust’. Now, I’m not talking ‘exhaust’ as in ‘I’m exhausted’ (although, there have been quite a few days in the past few months that we have been able to say that).  I’m talking about ‘exhaust’ as in ‘exhaust pipe’.

Today, Boyd installed ‘Bushranger’s’ new exhaust pipe. It’s not a done deal yet; it still needs to be connected to the back end (okay, stern if you insist — ya’ know, where the fumes chug out the rear end of the boat) and the front end (where it will eventually have a meeting of the minds with Molly Brown’s engine (reference blog entry dated 1 October 2011) that is not yet installed in the boat).

This is the new exhaust pipe being held in place with a shiny new hook.

Me – what did I do all day, you ask? I was figuring out the dimensions for my new kitchen – like how deep each drawer can go before it hits some tube, wire or whatever, and how high my counter should be to optimize storage space underneath and ergonomic efficiency up top (ooh! don’t I sound like I know what I’m talking about!?!)

I don’t know why Koko’s so exhausted — she’s been sleeping all day!

A good day all around!
