Well, we finally met War-Monkey (not his real name, but a pretty cool nickname, don’t ya’ think!?). He’s the gent that Terry, our expert mechanic, recommended to fix up our cabinetry and general woodwork (other than the ‘brightwork’ that I intend to do).

First of all, I think we need a ‘before picture’ of the kitchen/galley, so we can compare it to the ‘after picture’ that I will be taking in a couple of months…

War-monkey seems to be just the guy to create my new kitchen (or galley, if you prefer) and fix up all the other bits and pieces of wood repair in Bushranger’  I think we have found a winner there.

Also, Boyd devised a way to clean out the prop shaft tube (he’s a very creative guy!). You should see the long tool he created to clean out the inside of the 9 foot tube.

He tells me that his next operation is to patch a few small imperfections in the shaft tube, to get it ready for the up-coming engine transplant. My guess is that it will be even better than new when he is done….

Boyd tells me that I sound like I am talking about a middle-aged woman about to have botox when I mention dealing with Bushranger’s ‘small imperfections’… I find that very appropriate…

Good to see you both haven’t lost your sense of humor. So nice to see progress being made on multiple fronts. And yes, I love that 2 burner stovetop…what a great size.

I think I will be able to create some very good meals on that stove….now all we have to do is build a boat around it.
