We’re Back in Iuka!

26 Mar

Look out world, we’re back! Our trip up to Virginia took a total of five days – two days to get up there, a half a day to sort through all of the stuff we have in storage, and two days to get back. I’ve gotta’ tell ya’; I don’t miss the traffic in northern Virginia.  In fact, I don’t think I miss Virginia at all. I guess I’ve turned into a Mississippian (I think that makes me an adopted “redneck”, if ‘in ya ‘all are feelin’ obliged).

Anyway, Boyd is back at the boat doin’ his thing.  He has removed all the copper pipes in preparation for the new plumbing he plans on installing.

He has also remove the cutless bearing (don’t worry, if you don’t know what that is – I had to ask too) (oh, so let me tell you – it is at the back end of the boat, at the end of the propeller shaft casing, and is supposed to keep the shaft centered as it turns the prop – now you know as much as I do…).

So, as you can see, we’re back in business. I have a new camera and I’m snappin’ away. I hope to keep you ‘all updated a couple of times a week from now until we get this baby zipping through the water as it was originally designed to do.

Yes!! Progress is being made without sacrificing quality! The captain of this vessel knows what is needed.
