Water, Water Everywhere…

11 Nov

The old water tanks don’t look too bad!

Boyd is still messing around with the water tanks. He checked out the inside of the tanks (as much as he could see since they have baffles that block the view) and, lo and behold, they don’t look too bad.  Can you believe it?…we don’t think they need to be replaced.  This is a first!

Woke up this morning to a temperature of 28 degrees f (that’s -2 degrees c for you Aussies out there).  It was ‘bloody’ cold! On the plus side, while I enjoyed a lovely cup of tea (made by my wonderful husband) in the kitchen with the big bay windows, two Downy Woodpeckers came for a visit.  They both landed on the tree right outside our window.  Do you think Koko the cat even noticed them – nope.

This is our little cabin — you can see the marina and the lake in the background.

Looks like a lovely, quiet spot on the lake. Now it would be nice to see the weather get a tad warmer…

Thanks, Rod. Great to see your comment. It is a truly lovely place. The boat is turning out to need a bit more love and care than we originally anticipated, but it’s a great place to do the work. Love to Linda and the boys.
